Practitioner’s Corner November 2007
As a Practitioner for the Center, I keep reminding
myself that it is not I that does the work. It is Spirit working
through me that manifests the thoughts in treatment, which we put
into the Divine Mind. It is then Spirit that reveals the Truth to
us, reminding us that we are Perfect, Whole, and Complete already,
by stripping away all the appearances, looking beyond our limiting
thoughts to the Truth of ourselves.
As we surrender to the realization of who and what we truly are, we
seem to be made anew, when we really are just opening to the divine
perfection which we always have been. The fog is lifted by our
faith, and we stand naked in the Truth. We must never think that we
make it happen. It is Spirit always working through us that does the
work. We need only treat and believe.
Another point that always comes up for us as Practitioners is
treating for 3rd parties. It is always important to know that if the
3rd party doesn’t know they are being treated for or doesn’t want to
be treated for, or isn’t aligned with what they are being treated
for, then the most effective treatment is to know the highest and
greatest good for that person.
Daily meditation on these thoughts helps to keep me centered.
Classes are also important for this, and the SOM 100 series is the
heart of the teaching. It is being taught this year and I highly
encourage everyone to reacquaint themselves with the basics, “I am
constantly”.
